1st Toy

I just got out Knox's toy that he can lay under and watch the animals move. He LOVED it! He started smiling and kicking. It was precious. Well, as you can see Katie also enjoyed it very much. I love to see all 3 kids interact and play. They are a joy!

2 month check up

Thursday Knox had his 2 month old check up. I can't believe he's already 9 weeks! So here's his updated stats:
Weight 11 lbs. 14 oz. - 50th percentile
Length 23 inches - 50th percentile
Head 15 inches - 10th percentile
Dr. Flowers said one of his ears is still a little pink so we just have to watch for signs of another ear infection. We're also thinking he may have silent acid reflux. He spits up alot and each time he lays down he's crying to be burped. So we're trying different things with him and with my diet to see if he can get better. Other than that he checked out healthy!! It was no fun for him to get his immunizations. He cried so badly but worse was the afternoon and night of pain for him and not much sleep. So I was glad to actually get a pic of him on Thursday afternoon when he was not crying. Can you tell that he's a red head?? Rosalyn and Katie's hair color changed so his may too but right now it's red!!

Bellingrath Gardens 2008

Every year Nate's family travels down to Bellingrath Gardens in Mobile, AL. They usually try to go during the azalea season, because it's just so pretty. This year we went with them, and though it was a little exhausting with the three kids, it was totally worth it. Here's a few pictures from the adventure.

The Big Spit Up (Courtesy of Knox Shurden)

This is a really funny video of Knox and Rosalyn. Pay particularly close attention to Knox when you watch it the first time. Then, if you watch it again, pay close attention to Rosalyn. We have laughed and laughed at this one. We just had to share it!

Hope everyone is well!

March Pictures

Ever since Knox has been born it seems I'm way behind on blogging. Life has gotten much busier that's for sure. Rosalyn has become a little mommy around the house. She helps me do lots of things. Katie's vocabulary has taken off. She is talking all the time. She and Rosalyn are so different. Rosalyn is orderly and structured and dramatic in all she does. She's very creative and could color, write, and draw all day. Katie is more laid back and goes with the flow better but has the funniest sense of humor. She is busy, busy and seems to be looking for how to get in trouble all the time. And now there's Knox. He seems to be easy going but who knows. When he was 4 weeks he had double ear infections. He's already been on his first antibiotic and ear drops. When I took him to the doctor he weighed in at 9 lbs. 5 oz. (He was 6 lbs. 8 oz. at birth.) I was shocked! He's 7 weeks now, and we've reached a fussy, fussy stage. He has kept Nate and I up all week. We've gotten about 4 hours of sleep at night. There's only so long we can keep going like this. I'm not sure why he is so fussy. I'm queen of excuses so I've thought of all the reasons. No solution yet...though last night was a little better. Now for some pics....

Some Family Pictures

Several weeks back now, just as spring was making its first appearance, we took some pictures out in the yard. We thought you might enjoy seeing a few of them.
